Chinese New Year -the Year of the Dog- comes alive in Hawaii on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza located at 100 North Beretania Street, Honolulu.
Presented by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, this family-friendly event features food and craft booths, live entertainment, special cultural performances, lion and dragon dances, lion dancing on poles and much more.
The 2018 Narcissus Queen and her court -along with various lion dance groups- will be visiting stores in Honolulu’s Chinatown to wish them good luck as part of a traditional Chinese New Year’s blessing known as Choy Cheng on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
