Coming Up Next: Join me in Welcoming Edmond Gor of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance and the Chinese American World War II Veterans Recognition Project

Joining me from Houston, Texas USA on the Saturday, August 12 Conversations segment of the Marvels of China: Pathways to the Pacific Rim Show is Mr. Edmond Gor. He is the national president of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (www.cacanational.org).

Gor is going to share with you and me details of the Chinese American World War II Veterans Recognition Project (https://caww2.org).

The project’s mission is to recognize, honor and celebrate the military service of Chinese Americans who fought in the Second World War through advocacy, education and preservation -ensuring that the outstanding achievements and contributions of these extraordinary members of America’s greatest generation will never be forgotten.

Do you know that you can help? Here’s how:

Supporters will educate Members of the U.S. Congress about the achievements and contributions of Chinese Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Second World War.

These efforts will culminate in the introduction of Bills in both the U.S. House and Senate to honor, recognize and celebrate these Veterans with a Congressional Gold Medal.

Separately, a parallel effort will educate State Legislators about these veterans’ accomplishments and advocate for Resolutions recognizing their contributions.

Please help us in this effort by calling or writing to your Member of Congress and Senators, letting them know that you support a Congressional Gold Medal for Chinese American veterans of the Second World War.

You could also help by calling or writing to your State Legislators and voicing your support for a Resolution honoring these veterans.
