The prestigious 68th Annual Narcissus Festival sponsored by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii returns to the Hawaii Theater Center in Honolulu’s Chinatown on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 8 p.m. 

This annual event attracts many supporters, family and friends who come to see the Chinese beauty and cultural pageant with the hopes of not only seeing their favorite participant win the title, but also to hear about and see Chinese traditions and culture so proudly displayed by the contestants that evening.

On the next broadcast of Marvels of China: Pathways to the Pacific Rim I will be welcoming Michele Choy to the Conversations segment. Choy is the long time chairwoman of this annual event that is a kickoff for the upcoming Lunar New Year celebrations culminating on January 28. 

We will be treated to an in-depth education from someone who herself was a winner. I will be attending the 2017 Narcissus Festival as a guest hours after the broadcast.
